The last two and a half months at Atlas have been one to remember! This was my first internship, and I loved it. I had the opportunity to work with and support the sales and marketing team. The entire A-Team was so welcoming and a fun group of people to be around. All of them were willing to help all the interns, when we needed it. What I loved most about Atlas was the environment; everyone is highly supportive of one another and wants each other to succeed. It was the opposite of an intense environment, making it not scary to ask questions or ask for help.
Atlas runs by an agile strategy that was informative to learn and work with. I liked how organized and effective it was. We were assigned a project and had two weeks to do it, and at the end of the two weeks presented it to Vicki, the COO of Atlas. The overall process of working on the projects I loved. All of the interns worked as a team exceptionally well. We all enjoyed one another and became friends. Our managers were great leaders, mentors, and teachers. They walked through all the projects with us, let us take charge, and were confident and trusting in our work, which gave us confidence. We worked with many different platforms in all of our projects and learned new skills and tools. From helping to improve their social media accounts and content, developing company surveys, and working on future edits for the company website, all our work felt like it mattered, and was appreciated. All the work we did this summer felt important, and we were acknowledged, which was extremely rewarding.
We developed our presentation skills, including senior leadership. It was scary at first, but now I feel empowered and confident to speak in a professional setting.
